Cut-Out One Piece Swimsuit

This season swimwear is heavily inspired by styles on the red carpet, especially the asymmetrical designs with detailing on one shoulder.

The GUESS? Tribal Affair cut-out one piece swimsuit makes the wearer stand out, whether it's on the beach, poolside, or at a country club.

This colorful tribal pattern creates drama while the cutouts on the side allow for a major display of curves.

The one shoulder is comprised of four black strings and has beaded accents in the back. The top of the suit boasts soft cups for shape enhancement, which are removable. The back is secured by a loose tie and the rear legs of the suit are high-cut for added oomph. The small of the back features a studded goldtone G logo.

The Guess? Tribal Affair suit would best flatter someone with a toned midsection and serves as a good alternative to the traditional two-piece bikini.

It is composed of 82% nylon and 18% spandex with a lining of 100% polyester.

Recommended washing instructions are to hand wash in cold water and line dry. This piece is made in the USA and retails for $97.

One-Piece Swimsuit

In recent years, swimwear has become transformed from the modest one-piece it started out as. Where most one-piece suits are less revealing, the trend now is just the opposite.

Taking a page from lingerie makers, Juicy Couture has come out with a maillot that shows a little less skin than a bikini.

Juicy Couture is a company based in sunny California that was created in 1997. Their collections are known for first-quality materials, excellent workmanship and stunning designs.

Run by two businesswomen with an eye for style, they have carved out a reputation for hip and funky casuals that are extremely popular with the celebrity crowd.

This black mesh maillot one-piece swimsuit is just as functional in the water as it is without. The suit's top and bottom both have a lining. The spaghetti straps of the suit crisscross in the back. The suit's bottom has a low-cut leg in the front and higher cuts in the back and sides.

The maillot's mesh front in the middle and V-cut top serve to create unforgettable drama. It's a definite eyecatcher. Its low-cut back gives the perfect excuse to make that special someone rub lotion on you.

The suit would most flatter those with a long torso, longer legs and firm midsection. Of course, sunblock is a must with this piece, or else the wearer will end up with some unusual tan lines on the front! It is constructed of mesh fabric. This Juicy Couture piece goes well with hoop earrings and a pair of wedges, which will not overshadow the suit.

The mesh part is 93% polyester and 7% spandex, the body is 84% nylon and 16% spandex and the lining is 76% polyester and 24% spandex. Washing instructions are to launder by hand in cold water and lay flat to dry.

The suit is priced at $164 at www.ZapposCouture.com

Ruffle Swimdress

A great trend to come from the runways this season is the retro look, which harkens back to when the pinup girl was in vogue.

This style, reinterpreted by Juicy Couture, offers color, style and comfort all in one.

It's halter neckline provides a nice décolletage while the rest of the dress takes care of coverage. The shirring on the front panel makes the wearer look slimmer, and is a popular feature on this year's swim collections.

The suit ties at the back of the neck, and each tie end contains a "J" charm, a trademark of the Juicy Couture line. The bottom hemline is decorated all around with a small ruffle, borrowed from lingerie looks.

A unique feature of the suit is the fact that the skirt of the dress can be worn down, or pulled up for a more modern effect.

True to the retro look, the front and back leg openings are generously cut and make for an easier wear. The back is high-cut, not unlike a traditional halter top.

The suit is just the thing for an afternoon swim or a day of sunning oneself outside. It is easy to wear and easy maintenance as well. The swim dress can be hand washed in cold water and drip dried in the shade. It is imported.

The fabrication of both the body and the suit is 92% polyester and 8% spandex. The Juicy Couture swimdress is available in two colors, black and ana capri.

It retails for $177.00 and can be found at www.couture.zappos.com.

Ruffle Women's Swimwear

Another sizzling trend to come straight from Fashion Week to women's swimwear is ruffles. They make any one or two-piece suit look nice in a subtle manner.

The Roxy Surf Essentials Angel bra top features keyhole detailing in the center with an additional string tie, making for a nice visual effect. The top is moderately low cut to reveal just enough décolletage.

The fabric ruffle along the top of the bustline creates a flattering impression. It also has a lining which provides additional support and comfort. The back and neck have tie closures whch are adjustable for the perfect fit.
